Homemade Pico de Gallo

That tasty condiment you find on your tacos and served with chips at the local Mexican joint? It’s way easier to make than you think. Just a few bright and flavorful summer tomatoes and jalapeños, and you’re halfway there.
Ingredients
- 1 medium tomato
- ¼ medium white onion
- ½ medium jalapeño pepper
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Chop the tomato, onion, pepper and cilantro as finely as you can. (In Mexico they use a mortar and pestle to grind their salsas). Squeeze in lime, and add salt to taste. Enjoy with tacos, tortilla chips or burritos.
