Join [email protected] and Sephardic Jews in DC for a traditional Tu b’Shevat seder followed by a buffet of appetizers inspired by modern day Israeli and ancient Sephardic communities and an Israeli wine and fruit liquor sampling. A short discussion on Judaism’s relationship with preserving the environment and nature will follow.

During the 16th century, in the spiritual town of Tzfat (Safed) located in Northern Israel, Sephardic Jewish mystics created the concept of a Tu b’Shevat seder to celebrate the holiday. The holiday celebrates Judaism’s relationship to caring for the environment and also thanking G-d for the abundant produce of the land.

Food is kosher dairy and will be catered by Moti’s Catering Company.

Cost: $10
