Kale Chips

Kale Chips

Prep time: 5-10 mins

Cook time: 15 mins

Yield: 6-8 servings

Kale chips are the easiest way to get children to eat greens. As a bonus, they can help with the easy preparation. They can make a very healthy Thanksgiving appetizer while children are waiting for dinner to be served.

  • 1 pound kale
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash greens and dry them on paper towel. Remove the center stalk of large leaves and tear larger leaves in half. Toss kale with olive oil and salt. Lay on a single sheet on a cookie sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. Flip kale and continue cooking for another 3 to 5 minutes. The edges will brown a bit but should not turn black. Remove and allow them to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
