This drink was inspired by the story of George Washington and his cherry tree. George Washington was also one of the biggest producers of rye pre-prohibition, and since our Rock Creek White Whiskey is 100-percent rye, it ties in perfectly. The flavors are spot on for the holiday season. Cherry, maple and walnuts are fun holiday flavors that work well with a heavy meal or with a light appetizer platter. Photo by Liquorary

  • 3 ounces tart cherry juice
  • 2 ounces Rock Creek White whiskey or another rye whiskey of your choice

  • ½ ounce maple syrup
  • 2 dashes black walnut bitters
