Chanukah is coming and with it, eight nights of family fun. This Sunday, November 10, join PJ Library, Jewish Food Experience, Washington DCJCC, Jewish Social Service Agency(JSSA) and the interfaith program, Love and Religion for a morning of hands-on Chanukah fun.
The program starts at 10:00 am with arts and crafts, a hands-on cooking project and a mitzvah (good deed) project with JSSA—making Chanukah Fun Bags for families served by the organization’s Special Needs & Deaf Services Department. Everyone will join together to learn or practice the blessings over the candles in the Hanukkah menorah with lots of singing and storytelling, too.
It’s a perfect morning for Jewish and interfaith families with children ages 3 and older. Of course, there will be latkes to eat, plus lots of take-home information and recipes to make your Chanukah even happier.
Make Room for Latkes takes place at the Washington DCJCC, 1529 16th Street NW (Metro: Dupont Circle). The registration fee of $10 per family in advance, $15 at the door, covers all food, supplies, activities and take-home treats. Click here for more information and to register.
