The New Pioneers: Israel at 70

Girl wrapped in Israeli flag

Temple Rodef Shalom
Sunday, April 22, 2018
10:00 AM — 2:00 PM
2100 Westmoreland St
Falls Church, VA 22043 United States

Ticket Required

As the state of Israel moves into its eighth decade, we’ll honor the chalutzim (pioneers) who founded Israel — and celebrate the pioneers of today and tomorrow! Israel is home to incredible innovation, creativity and ingenuity – in everything from technology to the visual and performing arts to urban design and transformative community to, YES, food.

Come early and enjoy speakers and activities for all ages! Stay for some mouth-watering samples of the new Israeli cuisine! Food will be available for purchase.

Our finale will be a concert featuring Shir Harmony and Shir Joy…and enjoying a taste of what may be the world’s largest birthday cake for Israel!

Don’t miss speaker, Vered Guttman, chef and caterer with a food column for Ha’aretz who has been featured on Slate, NPR, and in The Washington Post. Vered’s presentation has been made possible by a generous grant from the Jewish Food Experience® and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

Cost: $5
