HOW IT WORKS:
Members of the 20s/30s community are organized into small groups of 14-25 people who host monthly Shabbat potluck style dinners in their homes or at restaurants and local parks. After a big kick-off dinner at the DCJCC on March 31 where you can meet your cluster group, your Shabbat Cluster Coordinator will be in touch to help you plan your monthly Shabbat dinners.
This program is open to singles and couples and this year you can sign up to be part of an interest Shabbat Cluster (Outdoors, Arts, Singles, Foodies, 30 Somethings, Interfaith, LGBTQ etc.) or join a general Shabbat Cluster. Clusters meet in DC, MD, and VA and are for all observance levels.
There is no obligation to host a dinner or attend every month but it is encouraged. You can register to be in a group with friends or a significant other. Clusters typically last about 6 months with new rounds starting every spring and fall.
