Reminiscing with Recipes: Memories of a Fallen Soldier

In Israel, Yom HaZikaron is the day the entire country pauses to remember the sacrifices of fallen IDF soldiers and victims of terror attacks. Most public entertainment venues are closed. Sirens wail twice during the day as residents pause for two minutes to reflect on the debt Jews everywhere owe these soldiers. This year, our shlicha, Hadar Golan, will offer a unique program, popular in Israel, that will provide an intimate glimpse into the life and character of one soldier. She will share the soldier’s life story and, together, we will prepare some of his or her favorite foods. Register now! A limited number of spots will be available.
