Mimouna marks the end of Passover and is a celebration bringing diverse communities together. It is an initiative of the Moroccan Jewish community, celebrating good neighbors, inspired by Moroccan narratives where Muslims helped Jews obtain leavened foods that otherwise would have been unavailable to them for this festive observance. Together they welcomed spring with traditional foods and blessed each other in hopes of a season of health and good fortune. This North African festival of good neighbors is for everyone.
