Lior Lev Sercarz is a chef, spice blender and, since 2006, owner of La Boîte, a biscuits and spice shop in New York City. Sercarz works closely with chefs from around the world, developing custom blends for them and for other customers. He is the author of The Art of Blending and The Spice Companion (Clarkson Potter, 2016).
This cake brings together a range of spices and flavors for a very tasty result. The loaves can be frozen for a later day and work perfectly for French toast or even croutons—if you can manage not to eat it all at once.
