Everyone has a favorite Passover dish (or two) even if it’s as simple as butter and salt on matzah. We’ve gone a bit beyond that and gathered our Top 10 Favorite Passover Recipes from a few local foodies to share with you. Some are a bit more traditional like savory Sephardic Kibbeh Batata while others offer modern twists on old favorites like Not Exactly Aunt Lil’s Matzah Ball Soup and Lamp Tsimmes, both of which openly flaunt their updates. Try a taste of the satisfyingly rich Simply Sweet Potato Soup or Beet and Red Cabbage Borscht, which takes borscht to places you never dreamed possible. Kabak Kalavasucho, a Zucchini and Cheese Pie, bring us tastes from Turkey’s Jewish community while chocoholics will want to dive into Chocolate Mousse Meringue Layer Cake. And Passover is just not complete without meringues, here offered as melt-in-your-mouth Coconut Meringue Cookies, or something different with Haroset Balls with a Moroccan twist. Please note that while ingredients can be found kosher for Passover as needed, we have not noted any particular ones, leaving that to each cook.
